"Natural light and artificial light: which interaction for the best comfort?", at FLOS Professional Space
Eighth episode of "Winter Games Hospitality & Development" series of meetings dedicated to hospitality in view of the 25th WINTER OLYMPICS in Italy “New forms of Hospitality: home or hotel?” at Lualdi showroom Milano
The series of meetings "Winter Games - Hospitality & Development" on the themes of architecture and design in the hospitality sector in view of the Milano Cortina2026 Olympics, conceived and promoted by MC International, reaches its 8th stage with the debate entitled "Natural light and artificial light: which interaction for the best comfort?" on 23 June at FLOS Professional Space in Milan.
This time the main theme was that of light, an element that today assumes increasing importance also in the design phase: there are several solutions in which natural light and artificial light are in together able to create a unique and comfortable environment, thanks to their ability to interact and dialogue.
As always, the round table compared a city architect, an architect specializing in the design of mountain hotels and resorts, and a special guest representing the theme at the center of each meeting, to take a look at the new perspectives and trends in hospitality. on the Milan-Cortina axis and, more generally, in our country.
The protagonists who met in this talk were the lighting designers Susanna Antico from Susanna Antico Lighting Design Studio and Jacopo Acciaro, founder of the Voltaire Lighting Design studio in Milan.
Moderator of the debate, Alessandro Colombo, architect and professor at the School of Design of Politecnico di Milano, while the special guest of the evening was Piero Castiglioni, architect and Lighting Designer of Studio Piero Castiglioni Light and Architecture, one of the world's leading exponents of lighting design.
The event, held both in presence (by invitation) and in live streaming, was hosted by the Milanese Professional Space of FLOS, a historic company recognized as a world leader in the residential and architectural lighting sector, which this year celebrates 60 years of activity.
The entire Winter Games project, which started in 2021 with the support of the Municipality of Milan and the Municipality of Cortina d'Ampezzo, has meanwhile also obtained the patronage of: Ordine Architetti P.P.C. della Provincia di Milano, Ordine degli Architetti P.P.C. di Belluno, Fondazione Architettura Belluno Dolomiti, POLIdesign, and is created in partnership with Guest Magazine, FIABCI Italia - International Real Estate Federation, AREL | Real estate Ladies Association, and NEWH Milan | The Hospitality Industry Network.
