Sixth episode of the series of meetings "Winter Games Hospitality & Development" in Cortina d'Ampezzo for the first time

After the debut in Milan, with already five events organized in a few months and as many scheduled for the second semester, the "Winter Games Hospitality & Development" project, a series of events conceived in 2020 by MC International among architecture firms, developers, hotel structures and design companies, reached Cortina d'Ampezzo on 18 March 2022 with an edition destined to be held annually, and with a single calendar.

A day dedicated to the current state of the works - public and private - that are affecting the valleys in anticipation of the 2026 Olympic Games, and to capital investments that will further reinvigorate the hospitality landscape in the shadow of the Dolomites.

The conference at Alexander Girardi Hall, structured in two sessions, morning and afternoon, wanted to highlight the opportunities for the relaunch and correct destination of mountain accommodation complexes, intended both as services, sports and urban, and as hotels and apartments.

Interviewed on stage, personalities and great protagonists from the worlds of finance, real estate, hospitality, projects and institutions, in the presence of an audience of professionals - local and non - interested in taking a look at the new perspectives and trends of hospitality on the axis Milano-Cortina and, more generally, in our country.

To animate the morning session on "Architecture at the service of sport: from the restyling of systems to urban regeneration", among others, Architect Angelo Micheli, Director of the AMDL Circle | Michele De Lucchi, specialized and recognized for the design of wooden works, Architect Giovanni La Varra from Barreca & La Varra studio, Mario Vascellari, President of Tofana 2021 SrlFreccia nel Cielo.

To open the afternoon session, the introductory scenarios on the international tourism-hospitality market by Giorgio Palmucci, President of Enit - National Tourism Agency, Marco M. Malacrida, Director Italy STR and Italia Hospitality Founder. and Magda Antonioli, Professor and Fellow POLIS at Milan Bocconi University.

Following, the talk on "Opportunities for the relaunch of mountain accommodation: development, trends and investments", with the interventions of the President of Federalberghi Veneto, Massimiliano Schiavon, Paolo Barletta, CEO of Arsenale Spa, Francesco Calia, CBRE Italia Head of Hotels, Otmar Michaeler, CEO of FMTG Falkensteiner Michaeler Tourism Group AG and the local architect Ambra Piccin.

 

To give the institutional greeting to the audience, Mayor Gianpietro Ghedina and the planning and building councilor of Cortina d’Ampezzo Benedetto Gaffarini.

 

The event in Cortina had the partnership of Finstral, Mirage, Pergo and Resstende companies, together with the associations NEWH - The Hospitality Industry Network, FIABCI Italia - International Real Estate Federation, AREL - Associazione Real Estate Ladies and Hotelier Association Cortina, as well as the patronage, as for the entire "Winter Games" project, of the Municipality of Milan, the Municipality of Cortina, the Order of Architects PPC of Milan, of Belluno and of Belluno Dolomiti Architecture Foundation, and of POLI.design.
